HAL's Race Results has received many testimonials. For instance:
"We have been more than satisfied with the help and guidance you
have provided, and we now wonder how we would cope without HAL! It is so user
friendly and even some of our older race officers have taken to punching in
results and are excited to be publishing their work online." Chris Thomas,
Sailing Secretary, Island Sailing Club, Cowes.
"Rest assured, I found your system to be in a class of its own. After testing
almost everything else ... for the last three years." Mike Fitzpatrick, Sailing
Coordinator, Whitstable Yacht Club.
"Thanks for a great program, it has made my life soooooo much easier!"
Andy Memmott,
Gisborne Yacht Club, New Zealand.
"We have used it for some time and found it accurate and friendly." Derek
Abbott, International Race Officer, J24 World Championship, Weymouth.
"Stokes Bay had their club championships and we ran average-lap racing with
fleet starts, producing an overall winner and a winner for each fleet. Ordinarily
this would have been a bit of a nightmare, but the tandem series option made it
a breeze." Cliff Shaw,
Rooster Sailing Limited.
"This is a great little program that really helps keep on track of club results.
Thank you." Alex Phillips, Walton and Frinton YC.
"Nice work, really useful software", Frank Farrugia, Commodore Imperial Gozo Yacht Club.
"We have been using HAL Mk.1 and 2 for six years now at Scarborough Yacht Club
to great effect." Richard Craven.
HAL Mk.1 was fully tested and found
to comply with racing Rules of Sailing by the US Sailing, the American national
authority. They no longer test scoring programs, but Mk.2 uses exactly the same
algorithms.
