HAL's Race Results - Scoring Made Easy

Summary

This screen loads as soon as you start the program and open an archive in the File menu. It gives a summary of the data available from the archive file.
Summary

The data in the table has the following meaning:

  • Hcap Type is the type of handicap. All the handicapping systems available in HAL's Race Results are listed, apart from level rating.
  • Boats is the number of boats that have any results in races for that type of handicap. Note: this may not add up to the number of boats in HAL's Race Results, as each boat may take part in several classes for different types of handicap.
  • Classes is the number of racing classes that have any results for that type of handicap.
  • Series is the number of series that have any results for that type of handicap.
  • Races is the number of races that have results for that type of handicap.
  • Results is the number of individual results for that type of handicap. Note that only boats that finished the race and received a time are counted. The figure does not include any boats that were entered in HAL's Race Results with a non-finishing status (DNF, OCS, etc.).

Quality settings

The quality settings are shown at the bottom of the window. They can be altered from the Settings menu and are explained on the settings screen.
