HAL's Race Results - Scoring Made Easy

HAL's Race Results Mk.2* (About 5 MBytes) A new version of the program that rolls all of the Mk.1 programs detailed below into one. If you are new to HAL's Race Results you should download this one.
  • A Microsoft Word file containing sample instructions for race officers entering results into the program.  You can modify this to suit your club.
  • Microsoft .Net Framework v2.0  This is an extension to the Windows operating system that is built into Vista and is available as a download for other versions of Windows. You need this to run HAL's Race Results Mk.2. It should install automatically when you install HAL Mk.2, but in case it does not you can download it here.

HAL's Race Results (Mk.1) version 8.19 (About 24 MBytes). This is the main part of the original HAL system. None of the programs listed below will work without it.
  • Note that in order to use HAL's Race Results Mk.1 you must have Microsoft Access (the 2000 version or later).  If you do not have Access, you can download a runtime version of it.  See the FAQ.

  • A Microsoft Word file containing sample instructions for race officers entering results into the program.  You can modify this to suit your club.
  • A service pack to install the 2009 Portsmouth Yardstick numbers.
HAL's Club Results Service client program (Mk.1) * (About 1 MByte). This puts your results onto the Internet so that they can either be integrated into pages on your own web site, or viewed on the HAL's Race Results site. You need an account on our server to use it. Email me (via the button on the left) to open an account.

HAL's Performance Analyser (Mk.1) * (About 1 MByte)
This analyses your results in HAL's Race Results to see how each boat actually performed. It produces outputs showing the actual handicap achieved, as opposed to the handicap used to calculate the results. It is of particular interest to club handicap officers.
Note that programs marked with a * need Windows 2000, XP or Vista. Only the original HAL Mk.1 will run on earlier versions of Windows. Those marked with a * also need the Microsoft .Net Framework.
You are not running either Internet Explorer or Firefox. The applications marked with * use a Microsoft technology called ClickOnce and need one of these two browsers. Suggest you change your default browser to Internet Explorer (temporarily) to install them.  (How to change browser)
